Kendrick Lamar Added to iTunes Music Festival Lineup
Kendrick Lamar is staying in the headlines without a recent word from him. After a tremendous day of response to his verse on the viral song "Control," word has gotten out that he has been added to the iTunes Music Festival lineup kicking off in London next month.
The month-long music event will return to London's Roundhouse art centre venue with a different act taking the stage every night, beginning Sept. 1 with Lady Gaga, who confirmed that she will headline night one with "one hour of all new music."
The Compton rapper will perform Sept. 19. His show date was announced alongside rock band Haim and British rapper Dizzee Rascal, the latter of whom will hit the festival stage Sept. 27. Other artists on the bill include Justin Timberlake, John Legend, Tinie Tempah, Janelle Monae and Robin Thicke.
Since dropping his debut album last fall, Lamar has racked up awards and performances all around the globe. His good kid m.A.A.d City world tour wraps up Aug. 25 in the Czech Republic.
