Frank Ocean Cancels Tour After Tearing Vocal Cord

Singer's Australia dates stopped after opening night.

Frank Ocean had to cancel his sold-out Australian mini-tour after yesterday's opening night. The singer learned that he's torn a vocal cord.

According to Billboard, Ocean realized he wasn't entirely well, and shared the information with fans mid-performance of his song "Forrest Gump." "I'm sick ... I don't know if you care," he said. He closed the show without an encore, saying instead, "I don’t wanna speak much tonight but I do wanna thank you guys,"

He recieved a diagnosis afterwards, during a visit to the doctor. "After last night's concert ... it was necessary to seek medical advice due to vocal issues Frank Ocean experienced during the show," the show's promoter said via a statement.

The singer was scheduled for four dates in the Down Under, and he's on the bill for Drake's OVO Fest next month.
