Drake Setting Out on 41-City Tour With Miguel and Future
Drake, Miguel and Future are hitting the road together for the Would You Like a Tour? trek, hitting 41 domestic cities starting this fall.
The OVO rapper is prepping the release of his third album Nothing Was the Same, due later this year. So far, Drizzy has dropped single "Started from the Bottom," followed by "5AM in Toronto" and "Girls Love Beyoncé," the latter of which is assisted by James Fauntleroy, who has songwriting credits all over Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience. Nothing Was the Same is the follow-up to 2011's Take Care, which won the Best Rap Album Grammy in February.
To continue his momentum building, linking with Miguel was a no brainer. The L.A. native has become the go-to collaborator for rappers and singers alike, and he has already toured with Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Usher and Trey Songz. On the features list, the 27-year-old has teamed up with, in addition to Drake, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar and most recently Mariah Carey.
Similarly, Future is an unofficial master of features, lending his computerized vocals to just about every hot single in the rap game. His run with Drake replaces the sightseeing he was to complete on the America's Most Wanted tour with Lil Wayne and T.I.
Would You Like A Tour? kicks off Sept. 25 in Portland. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Jun. 21 via Ticketmaster.com and Livenation.com.
