Rihanna rocked the stage as the musical guest on SNL this weekend with performances of new songs "Talk That Talk" and "Where Have You Been," but behind the scenes, staffers and producers for the show were less than pleased with the pop star.

TMZ reports that Rih Rih skipped out on a dress rehearsal right before the live show aired Saturday night — something that just isn't done on the venerable variety series.
Rihanna claimed that she was too sick to perform at the final rehearsal — which takes place in front a live studio audience — and sent a choreographer to dance in her place. But when showtime came, the pop star was reportedly seen walking around backstage eating an apple and looking fine.
The dress rehearsal is a big tradition at SNL, and producers tell TMZ that they can't remember the last time a performer was a no-show.
Representatives for Rihanna insisted that the illness was no joke — she was visited by a doctor before she went on — and said she only wanted to save her voice for the main event.

Rihanna was the musical guest for the show that was hosted by New York Giants Super Bowl-winning quarterback Eli Manning.
