Nick Cannon Says He Has an Auto-Immune Disease

Nick Cannon has been diagnosed with Lupus-like disorder.

Nick Cannon, who has been in the news recently due to multiple health scares, came forward last night with the news that he suffers from an autoimmune disease that is at the root of the problem.
Comparing the condition to Lupus, Cannon told People.com that his doctors discovered the disease after he suffered mild kidney failure in January. Last month, the rapper, actor and TV host was again hospitalized after doctors discovered an enlarged right ventricle in his heart and blood clots in his lungs. Cannon said the blood clots were directly related to his kidney condition, which was a result of the autoimmune disease.
"It's a lot of stuff, but it's all in order now," Cannon said.
In late February, the America's Got Talent host announced that he was quitting his morning radio show in order to focus on his health. Previously known as a work-a-holic and jet setter, Cannon said he's now making sure he gets at least six hours of sleep.
Last year, Cannon and his wife Mariah Carey welcomed fraternal twins, Moroccan and Monroe, into the world.
