Police Investigate as Footage of Game Altercation Emerges

The Compton rapper is accused of punching a man in the face in Hollywood.

Here we go again. Game is back in the news for the umpteenth time this past week, but this time it isn't a trumped-up industry beef—it's the real thing, and police are investigating the Compton MC's role.

According to TMZ, Game was accused of assaulting a man in Hollywood early Tuesday morning. The rapper was named in a police report filed by the alleged victim, who claims Game punched him in the face outside Colony nightclub.
TMZ has posted footage that was supposedly taken right after the incident. It shows an agitated Game arguing with another man, than yelling and being restrained by friends—but it doesn't show any punches being thrown. The LAPD is supposedly investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made.
Game hasn't commented yet, but sources close to the rapper say he denies the charges.
Game—who's fourth full-length, The R.E.D. Album, just hit stores—was already making headlines in the past few weeks, whether it was for dissing Jay-Z or getting into trouble with the L.A. sheriff over a tweet. Click here to see a breakdown of Game's most controversial moments.
