Fall Trend to Watch: Star Print
Celebrities have been starry-eyed for Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall 2011 runway signature pattern that was featured at Milan Fashion Week, and we admit that we’re also over the moon for this playful print. It has exploded all over jumpers, dresses, pants and accessories lately. The Americana pattern can veer into “Fourth of July gimmick” territory, but can easily be worn without making you look like a celestial fail.
Solange showed off a simple yet trendy way to wear the star pattern: layer up solids, like a black blazer and white button down to balance out busy pants. The singer also chose a vibrant orange lip to brighten up the outfit, and we love the idea of adding a small pop of color to this type of black-and-white look.
The fool-proof way to making this print work: wear it in a dress. Rosario Dawson paired her balloon-sleeve frock with funky heels but opted for more classic accessories, while Kim Kardashian glammed up her mini with the addition of a black clutch and pumps.
Would you star in this trend?
