Kandi Burruss Ties the Knot With Todd Tucker
After a long and bumpy road, Kandi Burruss finally reached the altar. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star said "I Do" to her longtime beau Todd Tucker on Friday.
Burruss tied the knot with Tucker, one of the show's former producers, in front of an intimate group of family and friends in Atlanta on Friday evening, the show confirmed on its website. Burruss' mother, who has continually expressed disappointment about her daughter's egnagement to Tucker, whom she described as opportunistic, was also in attendance, as was Burruss' RHOA co-star Phaedra Parks.
The Grammy-winning singer and songwriter, and former member of R&B group Xscape, got engaged to Tucker in January 2013 after two years of dating. "[I was] totally surprised," Burruss, 37, said at the time. "I used to make jokes with my friends that I was part of the Forever Single Club. That's what I said before, but now I'm totally different."
This is the first marriage for Burruss, who was previously engaged to the late A.J. Jewell. She also has a daughter Riley, 11, with ex-boyfriend Russell Spencer.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
