Bond has been set at $50,000, but as of Wednesday evening, Short had not yet turned himself in. The actor has a history of violence, court records show. He was arrested twice last month for physically abusing his wife, one time in front of their young children. He pleaded no contest to the charges.
The actor was also prosecuted in 2010 for assaulting a basketball player in Los Angeles. The aggravated battery charges in that case were later dismissed.
