After months of estrangement, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are officially over. Kardashian filed for divorce from her husband of four years on Friday afternoon, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause.
The move is not a surprise. Kardashian and Odom have been separated for months, after reports of infidelity and continued drug use became public. Though the couple seemed to make efforts in recent weeks to reconcile — or at least make nice — Kardashian has kept her wedding ring off and the once-unbreakable couple have not been photographed together for months.
Kardashian reportedly is not seeking spousal support, and asks that the judge reject any request for spousal support from Odom. She is also allegedly asking the judge to legally remove Odom from her last name. In their prenup, they reportedly kept all of their property separate.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 29, and NBA player, 34, married in September 2009 after one month of dating. The ups and downs of their relationship, including their lavish wedding and struggles to conceive, have been featured on several of their reality shows. The most recent one being Odom's seeming desperation to reunite with his wife on the Keeping Up With the Kardashians Christmas special. Speaking on the phone, Odom told his ex-wife, "I would do anything to be accepted back by you guys. You guys are all I've got."
