Chris Rock Chides Tracy Morgan
As the Tracy Morgan I-will-stab-my-son-if-he’s-gay comment continues to grow, with everyone from Tina Fey to Morgan himself apologizing for it, Chris Rock seemed to support his fellow funny man at first before quickly rescinding.
Rock tweeted Friday night, "I dont know about you, but I dont want to live in world where Tracy Morgan cant say foul inappropriate sh*t." It seems the actor had a moment to digest what Morgan said and tweeted again yesterday, “when i first heard the statement i thought it was offensive but it also reminded me of my father saying ill kill you if you ever bring home a white girl but after reading everything tracy said . wow i get it that sh*t wasn't called for and i don't support it at all.” Then he joked if could now “go to the tony awards without getting my ass kicked.”
Rock made his Broadway debut and is currently starring in The Motherf**ker with the Hat, which is up for six Tony Awards, including the coveted Best Play. The ceremony takes place tonight in New York City.
