Love & Hip Hop: MCs Known for Spitting Love Ballads

Drake, Tupac, Ladies Love (of course), Nelly and others.

Lots of Lovin' - Black History month is upon us and Valentine's Day is approaching so we can technically call this the month of love, a good opportunity to check out a few of our favorite rappers who also have a penchant for spitting heartfelt ballads and showing a more romantic side of hip hop. Read on, some of the hardest MC's still need love too.–– Michael Harris (@IceBlueVA)(Photos from left: Kevin Winter/Getty Images, Al Pereira/Michael Ochs Archives/Getty Images, Theo Wargo/Getty Images for Tony Awards Productions, Kevin Winter/Getty Images)
Fabolous - Fabolous definitely keeps it gangsta but the Brooklyn MC is also a master at spitting game to the ladies. Meshing his smooth lyrics with harmonies from R&B crooners like Ne-Yo and Lil' Mo, a few of Fab's bedroom ballads include "Can't Let You Go," "Baby" and "Make Me Better." (Photo: Bennett Raglin/BET/Getty Images for BET)
Wale - If Hallmark is looking for new product endorsers, they should be blowing up Wale's line because the boy is gifted when it comes to expressing feelings on wax. Also throwing in a few Black women empowerment proses along the way, Wale keeps his female fan base enticed with numbers like "Lotus Flower Bomb," "Bad" and "Love Hate Thing."  (Photo: Ilya S. Wearing his heart on his sleeve, his sentimental bars from "Best I Ever Had" and "Take Care" have made many ladies swoon. The hybrid MC also doesn't mind flexing his vocal ability, as evidenced on platinum hits like "Hold on We're Going Home" and "HoustonAtlantaVegas," where he catches T-Pain syndrome and falls in love with a stripper. (Photo: Kevin Winter/Getty Images)
