10 Things That Must Be Addressed in the N.W.A. Movie

Details that can't be overlooked in Straight Outta Compton.

10 Things That Must Be Addressed in N.W.A. Movie - The casting for the starring roles in the upcoming N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton is now complete as Aldis Hodge has been cast to play MC Ren while Neil Brown Jr. will play DJ Yella. Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell were previously cast to play Dr. Dre and Eazy-E while Ice Cube's son O'Shea Jackson Jr. will play portray his pops. The film will be directed by F. Gary Gray and is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14, 2015.Now with many biopics, creative licensing is usually taken and many facts are purposely left out or the truth is sometimes glossed over. With the living members of the group serving as producers of the film, let's hope this doesn't happen. Still, there are a few topics that we think need to be properly addressed in the upcoming film. — Michael Harris (@IceBlueVA)(Photo:Todd MacMillan/Universal Pictures)
The Break Up - Ice Cube broke from N.W.A. in December 1989 after claiming that N.W.A.'s manger Jerry Heller and Eazy-E were jerking him and the rest of the crew financially. Before bouncing though, he had a pow wow with Dre about standing together and addressing the issue as a unified front. That conversation definitely needs to be in the film as well as Dre's decision to side with Eazy over Cube. (Photos from left: CORBIS, Ethan Miller/Getty Images for Beats by Dre, Larry French/BET/Getty Images for BET)
Dr. Dre vs. Death Row - Dr. Dre's got a message for whoever currently holds Death Row's interests: he's owed approximately $3 million from the now bankrupt label that he helped build to its legendary status in hip hop history. Dre sued The Row for unpaid royalties, digital sales and failure to bump his percentage up two points to 20%, as he was once promised.(Photo: Isaac Brekken/Getty Images for Beats by Dre)The Making of 'F--k tha Police' - "F--k tha Police" was one of N.W.A.'s biggest songs but it wasn't created after being harassed by the po-po for no reason. This could make for a humorous part in the flick if they show how Eazy- E and his crew were riding through L.A. shooting at people with paint ball guns and felt some type of way after being pulled over by the fuzz and forced to lay down on the ground after being stopped. Not happy about the frisk, they went to the studio and laid down the classic track. (Photo: Raymond Boyd/Michael Ochs Archives/Getty Images)
