Lupe Fiasco's Wildest Rants - Lupe Fiasco is out of this world—literally. The Chicago rapper recently told Power 106 FM host Big Boy that he had run-in with a UFO as a child. We should all be used to Lupe Fiasco's bizarre rants by now. Whether it's other rappers, politicians or the music industry, the Chicago rapper isn't afraid to speak his mind — and ruffle a few feathers in the process. Lupe Fiasco’s BET Hip Hop Award Performance   - Always one for controversy, Lupe Fiasco rocked a pro-Occupy Wall Street t-shirt and performed a heartfelt rendition of his powerful “Words I Never Said.” Providing vocal accompaniment was a burka-clad Erykah Badu. (Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images for Summit on the Summit)

Lupe Says Most Hip Hop Is "Terrible" - Lupe went in on his rap peers in a recent radio interview on NYC's Power 105. "I came from a different school. I came from Canibus, Eminem. To me, that's up here," he said, raising his hand. "Early Jay-Z is up here. So, for me, lyrically it's a different kind of conversation. But, I guess if it's just technically rapping, making words rhyme, metaphor here, metaphor here, it's cool. For me, technically it's good, beats are good, everything is good, it's fresh. But to me, the substance is just terrible. 97 percent of hip hop is terrible." (Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images for Summit on the Summit)

Lupe Downplays Tribe's Legacy - Lupe was widely criticized for forgetting the words to "Eclectic Relaxation" during a tribute to A Tribe Called Quest at the 2007 VH1 Hip Hop Honors. But his subsequent explanations dug the hole even deeper."[Tribe] didn't sell 10 million records, so why would people think they had a blanket on the world like that? MC Hammer was way more popular to me than A Tribe Called Quest," he says. "Those hip hop elitists who think [Tribe] hold the crown and the copyright to hip hop ... I listen to 8Ball & MJG and I think they're better than [Tribe]." (Photo: Jeff Daly/PictureGroup), (Photo: Courtesy Everett Collection)

Lupe Says He's a "Hostage" - Lupe famously clashed with his record label, Atlantic/Warner Bros. in the run-up to his 2011 album, Lasers, as explained in this interview with the Chicago Sun Times. "I am a hostage," Fiasco said. "I gave them what they wanted. If I didn't, at the end of the day the album wasn't coming out... I was specifically told, 'Don’t rap too deep on this record.' That was a specific order from the top. 'You’re rapping too fast or too slow, or it’s too complex.' … I'm writing about me. This is my life. It’s very personal for me. So for somebody to kind of put their fingers in that and play with that, it becomes more damaging."  (Photo: Theo Wargo/Getty Images)

Lupe Blasts MTV - Lupe didn't mince words when it came to MTV, firing shots at the network in a 2010 Twitter rant. "What are we supposed to be learning from you?" he wrote. "What is your point? Do you have a point beyond corporate sponsored distraction? You're a materialistic shell of your former self that can only identify with celebrity pageantry and instant gratification. Corporate garbage pushing plastic lifestyles and wasteful, destructive behavior into the brains of the youth of the world. So when your relevance thins in2 a whisper & the stock price collapses and you have 2 come 2 grips with the mess you made, I'll be here 4 ya. We'll be here. With hands full of baby powder 2 smack some sense back into your body & a warm shoulder to cry on. We want the REAL MTV back!"(Photo: Fernando Leon/PictureGroup)

Lupe Clashes With Pete Rock - Lupe beefed with Pete Rock earlier this year after the legendary producer said he was angry that Lu had remade the beat for his classic 1993 cut "They Reminisce Over You" on his "Around My Way (Freedom Ain't Free)." Pete later tweeted that the two had reconciled and were going to collaborate, but Lupe walked that back — way back. "He wasn't supposed to say that. He was supposed to say the same sh-- he said on the phone, 'Yo man it was my bad, that was wack, it was f---ed up for me to say that, it was disrespectful, I was 100 percent in the wrong, I apologize.' That's what he was supposed to say," Fiasco said. "You let all these other dudes rap on it, but you sh-- on me? It's like damn, it's me, kid. I don't know how to respect that. Part of me comes from the streets, straight from the streets, and part of m...

Lupe Says Obama "Kills Little Children" - Lupe didn't back down from his criticism of Obama in an interview with Philly's Power 99 on July 27. "One hand, you have someone who is a great speaker, but kills little children — our president," Lupe said. "I'm not talking about an accident; I'm talking about ordering a drone attack. Ordering drone attacks that go and kill mothers, innocent bystanders, children. Militants too, but the collateral damage. You're responsible for that, too."(Photos from left: AP/File, Taylor Hill/Getty Images)

Lupe Slights Jay-Z - Lupe turned heads when he seemed to diss Hov, along with a usual target, his label Warner Bros., in a 2010 interview. ''There's a misunderstanding with my fanbase,'' he said. ''People [at Warner] feel they know my fans more than I do. They want me to step out of my comfort zone and step into theirs. I don't have necessarily the celebrity success they want me to have, but it's more social success and being able to speak at a college about world affairs. That's a success to me. I don't want to be Jay-Z and be worth $400 million and perform on every awards show. It's getting in touch with somebody who needs to improve their self-esteem — as opposed to driving a Bentley and putting some chains on.''  (Photo: Christopher Polk/Getty Images)

Lupe Disses 2 Chainz' "Birthday Song" - Lupe certainly didn't hold back when he was asked what he thought of 2 Chainz' new single, "Birthday Boy," featuring Kanye West, while appearing on Hot 93.7’s The Hot Afternoon Show With Jenny Boom Boom. “Eh...For me, hip hop, I wanna hear stuff that I’ve never heard before, so like 99 percent of the hip hop that I hear these days is just the same,” he said. “And it just kinda gets like, ‘What am I listening to it for?’ And for me that’s keeping it 100. It is what it is. It might be good, the beat is dope, lyrics might be whatever on a technical thing but at the end of the day it’s like, ‘Why am I listening to this?’”(Photo: Roger Kisby/Getty Images)
