Too $hort And E-40 To Face Off In Verzuz Match
It’s official: Too $hort and E-40 will be facing off against each other on the next episode of Verzuz.
The announcement went live on the official Verzuz Instagram page this past weekend. “Y’all know we had to do a BIG holiday party!” it reads.” #VERZUZ Presents: LEGENDS OF THE BAY – @E40 vs @TooShort. “Who you wit!? Tune in Saturday, December 19th, 5PM PT / 8PM ET. Watch on our IG or in HD on @AppleMusic.”
The matchup is one that fans have been eager to see. E-40 has released 28 albums throughout his multi-decade career. One of his most prominent being 2006's "Tell Me When to Go" is widely credited as popularizing the Bay Area's hyphy movement.
Too $hort, on the other hand, is widely credited with shaping Oakland’s underground scene and has released 21 albums. He’s created some of the biggest party songs like 2006’s “Blow The Whistle.”
Details about the Too $hort and E-40's matchup came after the last-minute cancellation of Ashanti and Keyshia Cole's Verzuz due to Ashanti testing positive for COVD-19. The two singers were initially scheduled to face off on Dec. 12, but that has been postponed until Jan. 9.
