Quincy Releases ‘Aye Yo’ Remix Video With Special Guest Features from Shaggy and Patoranking
Quincy has released a video for the remix of his dancehall hit song “Aye Yo.” Uniting with reggaeton legend Shaggy and Africa’s Patoranking, he’s created a song for the post-pandemic parties of (hopefully) 2021.
The bouncy song was created in collaboration with American-Trinidadian songwriter Angele Hunte, who is best known for her work on Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind.” “Aye Yo (Remix)” was produced by DJ Buddha who has worked with Lil Jon, Pitbull, and Daddy Yankee.
The video features the song’s three artists dancing in various environments from across the globe.
“As a new artist, I wanted to execute a different aspect of a REMIX, not just to release a new version for the life of the song, but for our fans to see why this alliance was key in highlighting the merge of sounds and visuals,” said Quincy in a statement.
“For me, creating the video was like taking two steps back, as all three of us are in different parts of the world – US, Jamaica, and Nigeria,” he continued.
Quincy released the original “Aye Yo” video in August.
