Toni Braxton Says Her And Birdman Are Getting Married This Year Regardless Of Coronavirus
After rumors that they had broken up last year, it seems Toni Braxton and Bryan “Birdman” Williams will be tying the knot soon. In fact, it could be sometime this year.
Previously, Toni and Birdman announced their engagement in 2018 and Toni later told E! News they were planning to get married before the end of that year. However, in 2019, it seemed the two had called things off after Birdman posted and deleted “it’s over” in his Instagram Stories, and got rid of all his photos of Toni. This, coupled with Toni’s cryptic post of her own, led people to believe that they were no longer together. Soon after, the couple hinted that they’d reconciled with another, with Birdman declaring Toni his woman “4Life.”
On Thursday (April 9), Toni called into Rick and Sasha Radio Show where she revealed that she and Birdman are still planning to have a wedding. “We have gone back and forth on wedding dates. We had a great date, but ten it was getting too big and we didn’t want a big wedding. Then we said, ‘Ok, we don’t want it too small,’” she said. “But then, [Bryan] said ‘Okay, let’s do a drive-through.’ I’m like ‘We are not doing a drive-through. We are not ordering fries after we get married, babe.’”
The R&B singer-songwriter added they’re still trying to find a happy medium that will suit both their tastes. But she’s adamant that they’re “definitely gonna do it this year.”
As for their relationship, Toni shared that they’re intentionally being more “private” and implied that people weighing in with their two cents on her social media was the push for them to keep their lives out of such a public scope.
“When we were out, it was a lot of people saying things and I’m kind of sensitive and I can’t deny it. I just want to keep our business private. People can ask me questions. I’m fine with that,” she clarified. “It’s just sometimes people have too much of an opinion, socially, like if you’re reading stuff and I didn’t like that. So, we decided we’re going to keep our lives quieter.”
