2 Chainz, 50 Cent, And More React To The Coronavirus Spreading In The U.S.

“Y’all done brought that s**t to Wakanda.”

National concern over the spread of COVID-19 (commonly referred to as novel coronavirus) in the U.S. has continued to grow as more states become affected by the epidemic.

  • On Monday (Mar. 2), Gov. Brian Kemp confirmed that two people from the state of Georgia who reside in the same household have contracted the virus. According to WSBTV, one of the individuals had recently returned home from a trip to Italy, a country that has been heavily impacted by the virus since it first broke out in Wuhan, China.

The local television station reported that two affected people have quarantined themselves inside their home as a preventative measure after exhibiting minimal symptoms. However, Kemp cautioned his constituents to not panic. At a press conference, he assured them that the state anticipated the virus’ arrival and already have measures in place to address it.

“Georgians should remain calm. We were ready for today. We have been preparing for weeks now and so far, every development has come forward just as we expected it would,” Kemp said, according to WSBTV.

  • However, 2 Chainz was not too thrilled to learn of the news.

“Mannnnn, y’all done brought that s**t to Wakanda,” 2 Chainz said along with a caption of a news report. According to XXL, fellow ATLien T.I. chimed in under his comments. “[You] bullls****in’,” he responded. Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah blamed it on “THEM D*** DEVILS!!! SMH,” according to ABC News Radio

This latest update comes after Gov. Andrew Cuomo confirmed that there are six reported cases in New York, according to CNN. 50 Cent also reacted to news of the virus spreading. ”The whole gang outside [with] it?” Fifty joked on Instagram in response to a report in the New York Times. He later shared a photo of a germ molecule outfitted in New York snapback and Timberlands.

  • Death tolls have continued to rise around the globe as more cases are reported. Currently, more than 15 states have reportedly been affected by the virus, according to the New York Times. Understandably, there has been some panic, but health officials have assured that they are working diligently to gain control of the spread and affected areas.
