Kehlani Addresses Beef Rumors With Keyshia Cole
In one of R&B’s more surprising turns, it seems the collaborative energy between Oakland-native R&B singers Kehlani and Keyshia Cole was short-lived.
To jog your memory, Kehlani released her Keyshia Cole-featured single, “All Me,” to the pleasant surprise of fans back in December of 2019. However, those same fans were confused when the single’s accompanying music video arrived via YouTube in February 2020 with Keyshia’s vocals and presence noticeably absent. Instead, the music video featured a mash-up of “All Me” and a new track from the Oakland songbird, titled “Change Your Life.” Keyshia’s unexplained removal from the music video immediately sparked rumors that tension was brewing between the two and was further fueled after mysteriously hostile tweets from both Keh and Keyshia.
“Crazy how the ones you look up to are down to be looked up to but when they gotta be eye to eye with you all hell breaks loose. Humble pie tastes good, I promise,” she wrote in the first tweet. Hours later, Keyshia tweeted out, “Girl shut the f**k up,” adding, “The real u lame as h**l.”
Although neither of the women directly mentioned names, fans were convinced their words were issued in response to each other. Moments later, Keyshia assured a fan that “everything is back to normal now. No disruptions. Or bad vibes.” In a since-deleted tweet, Kehlani also called on her fans to “please stop spreading lies.”
Shortly after, Kehlani took to the social platform with a message for her fans as well. “You don’t have to take abusive outta bounds behavior from anyone in any field of your life,” she stated. “Know it’s ok sometimes to just walk away with no warning!” The speculation only inflamed after she retweeted a video clip from Omarion’s recent interview on Big Boy’s Neighborhood where he opened up about his relationship with B2K. In the clip, O told Big Boy, “If I responded or reacted to a lot of the things that happened to me on my journey, I would not be here.”

The context in which these tweets were made is not clear nor has Kehlani and Keyshia publicly addressed the the matter. Kehlani has since turned her focus to preparing to join Justin Bieber on tour for his latest album, Changes, alongside Jaden Smith. Nonetheless, if there is any tension between the ladies, we hope it’s close to being resolved sooner than later.
