G Herbo Pleads Guilty To Misdemeanor Battery Charge

The rapper was sentenced to 12 months of probation and 150 hours of community service. He will also have to attend a 24-week family violence prevention program.

Chicago rapper G Herbo has pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor battery against his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child, Ariana Fletcher, on Monday (Jan. 6), according to a report published in TMZ.

  • This comes after Herbo was arrested in Atlanta last April following an alleged domestic altercation. In May 2019, TMZ reported that the Sessions rapper was arrested after the Atlanta police claimed he physically assaulted Fletcher, who was 14 weeks pregnant at the time, during an argument. He was later released on a $2,000 bond, according to the outlet.

  • Originally facing up to one year behind bars, the 24-year-old has been sentenced to 12 months of probation and 150 hours of community service. G Herbo will also be required to attend a 24-week family violence prevention program.

  • In a statement provided to TMZ, G Herbo’s attorney, Tanya Miller, said that the rapper is “eager to put this incident behind him and to move on with his life and his work — both in the studio and in the community. It is Herbert’s sincere desire to maintain harmony going forward while continuing to take care of his responsibilities to his family and to everyone else who depends on him.”

Neither G Herbo nor Fletcher have publicly commented on the matter at the time of this reporting.
