LeBron James Links Up With SiriusXM To Launch Music Playlists Curated By Top Athletes
Sports fans have even more to look forward to this coming 2019-2020 season.
On Monday (Dec. 2), SiriusXM announced that it had teamed up with LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s UNINTERRUPTED brand to introduce a new experience that allows fans to get even closer to their favorite athletes. In the press release, the radio satellite company unveiled that the two companies are rolling out specially curated playlists from some of the industry’s top athletes, including Odell Beckham Jr., Lonzo Ball, Mo Bamba and Draymond Green, among others.
According to the press release, subscribers will be able to listen to the musical selections at the same time as their favorite athletes as they go from the locker room to the court, field or ring before game time.
“Through this exclusive offering, we are providing listeners with access to the music the athletes are listening to, whether warming up or working out to prepare for a game or just what they listen to in their free time," Scott Greenstein, president and chief content officer of SiriusXM, said in the press release. "Music and sports are strongly linked and this creative partnership will create a unique listening experience that brings together both worlds."
The playlists will be featured exclusively on Pandora, which was acquired by SiriusXM back in 2018. LeBron kicked off the newly announced partnership on Sunday (Dec. 1) with the aptly timed release of his “Revenge SZN” playlist ahead of the Lakers game against the Dallas Mavericks last night.

This collaboration comes just after SiriusXM announced that it had inked a similar deal with Drake this past summer. More playlists will be rolling out over time with some slated to come out this week, according to Complex. In the meantime, you can head over to Pandora’s site to listen to LeBron’s playlist now. He tweeted out on Monday (Dec. 2) he’s got more of his favorite cuts to share with fans.
