Rapper Lil Reese In Critical Condition After Being Shot
Chicago rapper Lil Reese is in critical condition after being shot at a suburban Chicago intersection on Monday (Nov. 11), as reported by ABC News.
The Advocate Christ Medical Center identified Lil Reese (born Tavares Taylor) to be in critical condition after sustaining a gunshot wound to the neck. WGN-TV News reported that witnesses told police that Reese was “pursued by a driver of another car during a chase,” around 2:30 p.m. on 167th Street and Pulaski Road. They reported “hearing as many as 12 gunshots during the chase. The driver of that vehicle got out of his car and shot the man with what witnesses called a small rifle and then fled the scene.” The site reports that officers also found blood on the driver’s seat after arriving on the scene.
While businesses were placed on lockdown and nearby workers were told to take cover, police searched the surrounding area for the driver. They are still searching for what is described as a white or gray Chevy Malibu that has tinted windows and a Wisconsin license plate.
Fellow Chicago rapper Lil Durk posted a statement on his Twitter reading, “Reese good,” with a blue heart emoji hours after the shooting.
