Snoop Dogg’s Son Corde Broadus Thanks Fan For Their Love And Support After Infant Son’s Passing
Two days after tragically losing his infant son, Kai Love, Corde Broadus posted a message to Instagram thanking fans for their flood of love and support that flowed following his infant son’s recent passing.
The Broadus family tragically lost its youngest member after Kai suddenly passed away in the hospital on Wednesday (Sept. 25), just 10 days after he was born. The circumstances and details of Kai’s passing at such a tender age hasn’t currently been disclosed, but the father of two is taking it as a time to spread some positive energy and light to those going through dark times as well.
While thanking everyone for the condolences, Snoop Dogg’s eldest used the moment to remind people to not lose focus of what is important in life.
Taking to Instagram, the 25-year-old penned an emotionally stirring message that spoke a deeper truth on “the biggest lesson” that we all can learn from when confronted with a hardship of life amid the mourning: relish in the moments with those we cherish the most and don't let tragedy steal your joy.
Corde, who also has a 4-year-old son, Zion, and 11-month old daughter, Elleven, said that he got to experience one final moment with his son, who died in his arms.
“Thank you for all the condolences. I think we missed the biggest lesson [though]. My son did all he needed to do in his 10 days here on earth. He has now graduated and [is] continuing to do work. He died in my arms and that feeling of energy will never leave me. Kai wants all of you to [know] he’s doing great and wants to continue to inspire those who light is dim,” Corde began.
He shared that he and Soraya “will use [Kai’s] energy to raise [Elleven] to the best person she can be for ALL of us.”
“Life is beautiful y’all and I want y’all to [know] Soraya is at peace and is moving forward with huge smiles and a little baby running around thinking she grown,” he continued. “[I] just want to use my spotlight for happiness and growth and not anything less than. Thank you! Now let’s get back to our soul purpose - Kai Love.”

The father of two posted the caption alongside a set of photos capturing recent moments he’s cherished with his daughter, Elleven.
He shared a second post the next day captioned "moving forward."
Snoop Dogg also responded to his grandson’s passing with his own message of affirmation. The West Coast icon reposted an uplifting note from Christian Instagram page, Trust God Bro. In the post Snoop shared, a video clip plays a graphic of someone texting another person words of encouragement.
“If you’re facing something you don’t understand, choose to trust God. Remember all He has done for you. His ways are higher than ours. He is always good,” the texts read. Snoop captioned the post with the red rose and the prayer hands emojis.
BET sends prayers and love to the Broadus family in this difficult time.
