Prayers Up: Snoop Dogg’s Infant Grandson Passes Away At 10 Days Old

We’re sending prayers to the Broadus family.

Snoop Dogg’s family is mourning the loss of its youngest member. On Thursday (Sept. 26), the 47-year-old rapper’s son Corde Broadus confirmed that his newborn son, Kai Love, passed this Wednesday (Sept. 25) just 10 days after he was born.

  • The 25-year-old shared the tragic news in a post on his official Instagram page.

“Kai Love 9/15/19 - 9/25/19. My son Kai brought so much love and positivity into this world,” he wrote on the social network, alongside a video of his 11-month old daughter, Elleven Love, giving her baby brother a kiss in the hospital.

Additionally, the father of three uploaded a picture of a dry-erase board outside of Kai’s room. Under a “Plan for the Day” section is written “love + light” with a smiley face.

  • Corde continued: “His energy will live on and these 10 days of love will always be special to us. Let’s all cherish life and those we love while we are here.”

According to TMZ, Kai was reportedly still in the hospital in the care of the neonatal intensive unit when he died. Corde has not yet revealed his son’s cause of death, nor further details surrounding his passing.

While Snoop has not commented on the matter, his wife, Shante, took to Instagram where she uploaded a video of herself singing as a tribute to their late grandson. "My Fifth GBaby Kai Love 9-15-19/9-25-19," she captioned the post.

  • Our prayers and love are with the Broadus family at this difficult time.
