Megan Thee Stallion Clears Up What Being A ‘Hot Girl’ Really Means

Hotties are on board with the message.

After dropping her debut studio album, Fever, in May, Hot Girl Meg, a.k.a. Head Hottie, a.k.a. Megan Thee Stallion, henceforth declared that all the Hotties had free reign to turn this summer into a Hot Girl Summer, men included. Hot Girl Summer has quickly became the hottest catchphrase of the summer all over social media. It’s a Hot Girl Summer without you even knowing it’s a Hot Girl Summer.

  • But Hot Girl Summer has since turned into the battle of the sexes of the summer after boiling over into an all-out war between the Hot Girl delegation and an opposing faction that has dubbed themselves the City Boys.

On top of that, doubters and nonbelievers tried to declare hot girl summer officially over after Meg confirmed she was dating music producer Moneybagg Yo. As such, there has been a lot of confusion as to what a "Hot Girl" is. Ayesha Curry recently tried to explain what a “Hot Girl” is in an interview with ABC7 News, confusing it with a song performed by the City Girls.

“There’s this song out right now by a girl group called City Girls, and I guess they want the nation and all the women, and men, to embrace that way of being. I guess it’s just being your best self in your own skin and living your best life, but in the summer?” she offered.

  • We’ll just let Megan, who should really be the only one speaking on this, explain it in her own words. The 24-year-old hopped on Twitter Monday (July 17) to elaborate on the definition of a Hot Girl and clear up any confusion. She explained her own meaning of the phrase but encouraged fans to ultimately go with whatever interpretation helps them live their best lives.

Per Meg’s words “being a Hot Girl is about being unapologetically YOU, having fun, being confident, living YOUR truth, being the life of the party, etc.”

  • There you have it, straight from the horse's mouth. So yes, “Hot Girl” can kind of mean whatever you want it to mean, but there are some universal factors to keep in mind: be confident in yourself, live your best life, be positive, and own what makes you unique.

Hotties let Megan know that the message has been received and that they got her back against anyone who says otherwise. Hot Girl Summer is still on.
