50 Cent’s ‘Big Rich Town’ Remix With Trey Songz And A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Has The Internet Divided
After five years and six seasons in its critically-acclaimed small screen glory, 50 Cent recently announced that his Power series reached its final breath for 2019—or so we thought.
Before walking back the announcement after realizing that “this sh** is too good” to cap the series so soon, Fif promised four spinoffs in its place. But much to fans’ surprise, he also had another Power by-product up his sleeve: a “Big Rich Town” remix with R&B ladies’ man Trey Songz and Bronx rap newbie A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.
The remix to the anthemic Power intro song, widely recognized by fans of the show just from its first line, features a fresh verse from Fif. Trigga Trey graces the chorus with his vocals and A Boogie whips up bars for the second verse. And while we still aren’t sure whether Fif’s thoughts for a seventh season will check out or not, the surprise mix could be a step in that direction.
