Offset’s Appearance In Whitney Houston’s Video Got Dug Up By The Internet Again

After his jaw-dropping BET Awards choreography, they just had to bring this gem back.

Taking over Los Angeles on Sunday night (June 23), the 2019 BET Awards came out the gate hot with a litany of great stages from hip-hop’s greatest and hottest. One stage in particular nearly stole the whole show: Offset and Cardi B’s opening performance. We say nearly because we had a whole Mary J. Blige tribute that same night. But Offset and Cardi B were definitely a top highlight, trust and believe.

  • Opening the show alongside his wife, Offset and Cardi hit the stage with a fiery mashup of their chart-topping hits “Press” and “Clout” in a dope three-minute performance. Offset popped things off and surprised fans when the trap star came out and immediately went to work on some choreography. Matching his backup dancers step for step, the “Father of 4” rapper cleanly pop locked before following up with some two-stepping body rolls and other moves that had viewers comparing him to Michael Jackson.

  • Fans were shocked and impressed by the trapeteer, sending him salutes on social media and asking for more dancing from him. Others were still left in awe and wonder as to where ‘Set got his moves from. It led to fans discovering this fun fact about the Migos member: he actually used to be a backup dancer for pop’s greatest diva, Whitney Houston. Before he formed the Migos, Offset was a professional dancer and danced in videos for Whitney and TLC, according to Stereogum.

The internet brought out Whitney's music video for her 2002 single "Whatchulookinat" again as proof of his talent. In the music video, ‘Set can be seen dressed in a gray suit dancing in the background.

“Don't be surprised by @OffsetYRN's moves,” one fan tweeted. “He was in Whitney Houston's video.”

  • Offset eventually took to Twitter himself to remind everybody that he's still got it. “I still got moves,” the 27-year-old wrote on June 23. “Offset got moves.” The Migos rapper also had a message for fans that they might be seeing more from the trap star.

“I got [an] advantage. I’ma do more choreography,” he promised. More than a rapper, I entertain.”
