Bun B Reportedly Shot Armed Invader In His Houston Home
As reported by ABC13 Houston, Bun B self-defensively opened fire on a masked and armed intruder who attempted a robbery at his southwest Houston home.
The suspect has been identified as DeMonte Jackson, who law enforcement reportedly said rang his doorbell before Bun B’s wife, Queenie, opened the door under the notion that he was a delivery person. Jackson “demanded property,” and after she directed the culprit to their vehicle, the UGK rapper grabbed his weapon upon hearing the disturbance. The site reports Bun B then approached him in the garage, where he discharged several gunshots. Jackson reportedly escaped the scene on foot but was wounded from the shots, landing him at a hospital.
TMZ adds more details to the incident, reporting that it all went down around 5:45 Tuesday night (April 23), and that Jackson was attempting to steal Queenie’s Audi that she directed him to. The site also reports that Jackson fired back and, upon fleeing the scene, left the weapon behind that he used to return gunfire. When he showed up to the hospital afterward, TMZ concludes, he was treated for a gunshot wound to the shoulder and consequently arrested on two counts of aggravated robbery with a weapon and one count burglary.
Fortunately, Bun B nor Queenie suffered any injuries, and the two are currently reported safe.
