T-Pain Unveiled Himself As The 'Masked Singer' Champion, And The Internet Is Shook To Its Knees
Tallahasse’s auto-tune trailblazing music star T-Pain threw out his signature pitch sound and went straight to bare vocals for his appearance on Fox’s hit competition series The Masked Singer on Wednesday (February 27).
Disguised as the monster on the show, where contestants dress up in identity-concealing costumes during their live-audience performances, T-Pain crooned out a party-praising ‘90s classic: Montell Jordan’s “This Is How We Do It.” Earlier in the season, Teddy Penderazdoun stretched his natural vocals with other records like Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now.” For those who aren’t frequent watchers of the show, the object of the competition is to not only claim victory from the judges, but to also keep their identities undisclosed until they’re either voted off the show or succeeded to the final round. Though some viewers of the show already suspected T-Pain as the talent beneath the costume, judges were thrown for a loop as they guessed folks like Jamie Foxx, Cee-Lo Green and even Tyrese as the possible artist. But when the Nappy Boy Entertainment founder snatched the monster head off of his own, the jaws of everyone hit the floor—including the rooting fans of the internet.
See his message to fans amid the big win, reactions of mind-blown fans and the speechless moment of truth after unveiling himself for the judges below.
