R. Kelly’s $100,000 Bail Was Reportedly Paid By This Woman
The mysterious case of R. Kelly’s $100,000 bail—which he posted Monday (February 25) after reportedly struggling to pay during his arrest on 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse—has been solved.
The full bond amount was set by a Cook County judge over the weekend and totaled $1 million, which Kelly needed to post 10 percent of ($100,000). Amid news of Kelly’s inability to foot the amount, GoFundMe pages also cropped up across the internet launched by his fans and supporters. Their efforts were reportedly matched by the decision of a woman, whose name has been reported as Valencia Patrice Love. Court documents reveal that she shelled out the full bail amount to grant the accused sexual predator Kelly’s freedom, and from the internet’s research, has a bit of a history with him.
As reported by 'The Chicago Tribune,' the 47-year-old woman identified herself as a ‘friend’ of Kelly’s on the bond slips
The woman’s identifying tag is also recorded in the court documents, the Chicago Tribune adds. The site excludes her name from the report, but is revealed in several other reports, such as The Herald News.
In a tweet displaying an alleged scan of the documents, Love’s information is handwritten
This includes her Romeoville city of residence, the $250,000 amount for each of the four bond slips, and “Kelly Robert” listed in the defendant’s information fields. With little information on the woman made public, the Daily Mail reports that she does own a day care. The internet’s investigation alleges that she additionally owns a brunch restaurant in Chicago, and after doing their own research, they’ve assembled to hit cancel on her establishments:
