Report: Tekashi 6ix9ine Set To Testify In Attempted Chief Keef Shooting
Around 5 a.m. on the morning of June 2, 2018, Chief Keef claimed someone attempted to shoot him outside of the W Hotel in New York. The shooter missed the intended target and ended up shooting a sign in front of the hotel. The Chicago-bred rapper was reportedly feuding with Tekashi 6ix9ine at the time, so blame was immediately placed on him. Evidence surfaced shortly after of the Bronx wild child doubting Keef’s street credibility, but denied any involvement in the shooting. Oddly enough, the Dummy Boy rapper blamed the attack on Keef’s “violent music.” At the time, authorities were actively searching for the suspects, as well as a motive.
Last month, a video was unearthed of 6ix9ine reportedly putting a $30,000 hit out on Tadoe, Keef’s cousin, who police felt was the intended target. Earlier this week, TMZ reported that three of 6ix9ine’s known associates — Anthony Ellison, Denard Butler and Kintea McKenzie — were indicted on criminal charges. McKenzie was singled out as the “trigger man” from last year’s shooting.
Unlike the other two associates, McKenzie is currently not in police custody
Soures say McKenzie, formally known as Kooda B, was indicted because 6ix9ine told investigators that he was the shooter from the Keef incident. McKenzie was allegedly paid $10,000 by 6ix9ine to shoot the “Hate Bein’ Sober” rapper. Ellison remains in custody for assaulting and kidnapping the Bronx rapper, and Butler was picked up by ATF this past Wednesday.
6ix9ine is currently behind bars after being arrested on federal racketeering charges last November. We will keep you updated as more details surface.
