Faith Evans’ Marriage Certificate Has An Embarrassing Mistake Involving Biggie...

"Everyone knows he was my husband."

The new marriage of R&B singer Faith Evans and music industry tastemaker Stevie J hasn’t gone without its complications, which include some less-than-favorable reactions from fans, friends and family alike.

Mrs. Jordan’s marriage certificate is yet another eye roll added to the controversy after TMZ reports that it excludes her first marriage, and “first true love,” as she identifies him: the late and great hip-hop legend, Notorious B.I.G. Faith wasn’t responsible for the error though, as she reportedly explained to TMZ, and the courts are actually to blame for this one.

In a photo of the official document, Faith’s marriage to Stevie is listed as her second marriage after her 1998 union with Todd Russaw, completely excluding Big.

Faith and the fallen rap idol’s 1994 marriage is common knowledge among hip-hop, which left her widowed after his shooting death three years later in March 1997. Apparently, such knowledge isn’t as common among the courts, which Faith reportedly told TMZ is responsible for the inaccuracy. TMZ states that she revealed the marriage license bureau clerk made the mistake even after Faith told her that Stevie was her third husband.

"Biggie was my first true love, he will always be acknowledged as such,” she reportedly told the site. “Everyone knows he was my husband."

Hopefully, the responsible parties will print her some new documents ASAP. But, no worries, Faith! The rest of the hip-hop community knows the real deal.
