Wait, Is This Woman The Infamous 'KeKe' That Drake Raps About For 'In My Feelings'?

What a strikingly familiar face...

Alas, ladies and gentleman, Drake fans might finally be able to put a face to the woman that’s had him all in his feelings and her name stapled to social media’s latest challenge.

For the infectious, fittingly titled “In My Feelings” track on Side B (otherwise known as the sappier, R&B addition) of Drizzy’s double-disc Scorpion album, the Toronto hip-hop star sings the questions of his undying, unrequited love with a woman he just can’t seem to shake: “KeKe.” Drake is no stranger to dedicating full records to his former flames, let alone name-dropping them, and even admits that he’s built a career from reminiscing on a few.

Now, Drizzy’s got everyone questioning KeKe’s love and loyalty for the #InMyFeelingsChallenge, brought to the internet by Instagram comedy sensation Shiggy, and fans believe he could only be referring to one KeKe of lover’s past: former 106 & Park host Keshia Chanté.

  • The spotlighted 'KeKe' makes up the most contagious part of the chorus with a few, simple bars...

"Keke, do you love me?/ Are you riding?/ Say you'll never ever leave from beside me/ Cuz I want ya, and I need ya/ And I'm down for you always..."

  • There's no concrete confirmation, but Keshia might fit the profile pretty well

In an old Hot 97 interview, she reflected on her relationship with the OVO Sound leader, which goes way back to when they were just teens. Actually, she said, Drake was a Degrassi star at the time, and one of the first entertainment industry people she'd met. Keshia moved from her Ottawa hometown to Drizzy's Toronto grounds to help kick-start her music career, and they instantly became close friends.

But, plot twist: she never slept with him and they were never intimate, besides maybe a puppy love kiss when they were teenagers, she clarified in the interview. Keshia added that they had a love-hate relationship, and she refuses to take the ex-girlfriend title because it simply never went that far.

  • Not to mention that she does go by 'KeKe' every now and then, too...

  • Fast-forward to most recent years, and Keshia and Drake appear to still be good friends

They may be even better pals now that he's got the whole world singing her nickname, too. But, they must know, Keshia: do you? Do you love Drizzy? Are you riding?
