One Of Michael Jackson's Family Members Has A Bone To Pick With Drake
Of the four features on Drake’s freshly arrived Scorpion album, the late King of Pop and musical legend Michael Jackson’s assist on the dual-disc project’s side B arguably stood out the most.
The record, “Don’t Matter To Me,” features silky, unreleased vocals from MJ, and joins other surprise Scorpion guests Jay-Z, Ty Dolla $ign and another posthumous vocal treat from fallen Louisville singer Static Major. Fans raved about the sample, patting Drizzy on the back for going about Michael’s sample the right way. However, Austin Brown, MJ’s nephew and son of his sister Rebbie Jackson, doesn’t feel the same way.
‘I’m not OK with it,’ Brown told TMZ after reporters caught up with him in Hollywood on Friday (June 29)
“I just feel like if he didn’t finish it, you shouldn’t use it,” Brown clarified. He does respect Drake’s hip-hop craft, though, and doesn’t believe he took advantage of anything. However, he doesn’t agree with using the work, because it wasn’t completed.
