Tamar Braxton Clears The Air About How Her Final Album Will Help Her Marriage
When Tamar Braxton initially teased her forthcoming project, Bluebird of Happiness, as her final album, her fans grew speculative as to why the Grammy-nominated singer would be closing the doors on her music career.
But it appears as though the "Love and War" singer is switching gears to focus on her life outside of the spotlight.
During a recent sit down with Entertainment Tonight, Tamar revealed that she would be stepping away from the mic to focus on her marriage with manager Vince Herbert. "There are a lot of things that I want to do, and a lot of things that are in the works,” she told the publication. “There's a lot of things that are going on in my relationship and me being close to this music industry, and whatever I can do to eliminate all of the stress and problems off of my relationship, I would rather do that."
"My husband and I work very close together and it's really hard, you know?” Tamar continued. “Not only do we work together, he is my baby daddy and, you know, we've been together forever. He's my best friend. It's a lot of things to discuss and argue about.”
Tamar and Vince tied the knot in 2008 and welcomed their son Logan several years later in 2013. The couple appeared on WE TV's Braxton Family Values, which eventually led to their spin-off series, Tamar and Vince.
While Tamar's transparency was interpreted by many as her formal retirement from her beloved craft, the singer clarified her comments on Wednesday (Sept. 27) during a visit to V-103. Sitting down with Big Tigger, Tamar further explained how creating her final album will help her marriage. "I said that is my last album. That's what I said," the singer began to explain.
"I didn't say I was retiring. I'm still going on tour with Xscape. And I'm going back to television. That doesn't sound like retiring." Well, there you have it ― straight from the source herself.
