Safaree Takes Another Try at Nicki Minaj's Attention
At the rate Safaree is going, his ghostwriting claims for Nicki Minaj will unquestionably become a prominent imprint on his legacy in the music industry for years to come.
And even though he’s tirelessly swept these allegations through the entertainment circle, per interviews and social media, he still refuses to let anyone forget it.
Taking to his Snapchat, the Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood reality TV star shows off Nicki’s double-platinum plaque for her critically acclaimed third studio album, The Pinkprint. It is unclear to determine the location which he just so happened to run into such a celebrated mark of Nicki’s career run, but his thoughts on the accolade are absolute.
“It’s crazy you can come somewhere, and see your work, and know that you ain’t get a d**n thing for it,” he said after a desperate sigh. “Crooked a** n**gas.”
The clip arrives as another entry into his allegations of being uncompensated by Nicki for his behind-the-scenes work on many of her rhymes and projects. In only the third month of 2017, Safaree has already voiced his frustration with Nicki and her team’s disregard to his claims on two public occasions, even accusing the Queens-bred femcee of attempting to block his appearance on The Wendy Williams show. Recently, he tacked a $2 million price tag on what it would take to settle his differences with her once and for all as well.
Let’s just hope such ongoing tension becomes a thing of the past sooner rather than later. Until then, see what Safaree had to say about The Pinkprint accolade below.
