The Biggest Debates About The 2017 Grammy Nominations
It's official: the Recording Academy has spoken and announced its 59th Annual Grammy Award nominees. And it’s only right that social media’s Grammy board convenes next.
And that it has, calling out the salutes and the snubs left and right, as debates over who is most deserving of the accolades in each category sharply emerge. From Beyoncé’s genre-crossing world domination to Desiigner’s Grammy-debuting “Panda” nod, to the cold-shouldering of Rihanna’s fan-favorited ANTI, 2017’s nominees have everybody weighing in pretty heavily.
Now while many of these arguments do rest on deadline technicalities, there are a few categories that deadlines don’t apply to, and some feel the Recording Academy didn’t include artists who were deserving of their musical just dues.
