Eyebrows have been raised at Mariah Carey ever since she announced earlier this year that she was engaged to billionaire James Packer, making for the singer's third attempt at marriage.

Despite what the haters may have been saying, the two went ahead and signed on to film a documentary series with E!, with cameras focusing on her wedding planning and possibly even the ceremony. But now, with the show's premiere set for next month, breakup rumors have been circling the couple persistently.

As reported by TMZ, sources close to the celebrity couple are saying the engagement has been called off, with many questioning if it's just for publicity.

According to the report, Carey "had some sort of rendezvous with one of the dancers in her Vegas show... something that is on video for the reality show."

Considering the source is saying that the alleged affair was caught on camera, many are assuming the couple calling off their engagement isn't authentic. 

With the show airing on December 4, we may have to wait another month or so before either Carey or Packer addresses the situation themselves.
