Meek Mill's Squad Reportedly Tried to Run Up on Drake in Philly
It seemed like things were cooling down between Meek Mill and Drake, but nothing could be further from the truth.
Drake performed in Philadelphia last night and according to a someone who called themselves a Dreamchasers affiliate, there were hundreds of Meek’s associates there ready to confront the Toronto native as soon as he walked out. The whole thing played out in a series of videos posted to Instagram.
"I'ma let y'all n****s know right now, we 100, 200 deep," the man claiming to do security for Meek Mill proclaimed in a video. "Dreamchasers, we gonna press this n***a Drake. He's been disrespectful."
In the next IG video, the man is videotaping the scene behind the Wells Fargo Center, which was loaded with police ready to escort Drake and his entourage to their vehicles. It doesn’t show the 100 to 200 people he previously claimed came with him to the venue.
To confirm that the people claiming to be a part of Meek’s Dreamchasers crew were actually down with him, Meek Mill himself alluded to the situation by posting a pic of himself on Instagram and the caption, "When u run out the backdoor wit 12 and use the 'old man' to save you," he wrote, perhaps referring to J. Prince. "I'm done. You had Philadelphia swat with you. Ima go ahead and hang it up with these suckas! Had y'all tucked back in there for hrs lol. #stillrunning."
Drake didn’t directly respond to the attempted confrontation but did post a cryptic pic on Instagram of him performing in Philly with the caption, “I will never develop an addiction to fiction. It's for getting at the truth when the truth isn't sufficient for the truth.”
Seems like we’re right back to where we left off on this one. Check out all related media of the incident below.
