A major congrats is in order for Wale and his girlfriend, Chloe Alexis.

The couple welcomed the newest addition to the family yesterday (July 22) when Alexis gave birth to their daughter after being in labor for almost two days.

The rapper was scheduled to perform at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Friday, in conjunction with the One Africa Music Festival, but understandably had to cancel his appearance in order to welcome his baby girl into the world.

As reported, Alexis went into labor on Wednesday and worked her way through a very long delivery. 

In a passionate Instagram post, Wale shared an image of his daughter, Zyla, grabbing his finger, captioning the adorable image with a lengthy message detailing how overjoyed he and his family are.

“I named my album SHiNE when I knew my babygirl was on the way,” the rapper shared. “I want to be a better man than I ever been. I'm so flawed, I’m so imperfect and the world knows it... I just want to honestly be the best version of myself I can be.. My focus is renewed. I’m infinitely in love with my princess and I truly appreciate all the love you have shown her and how understanding many people who knew were. Imma keep workin’ on me and pray to God I can design a young princess who flourishes to an absolute queen.”
