Tyga Says 'Cash Money Never Paid Me' on New Song
It’s no secret that Tyga hasn’t been happy with his label and Birdman for a long time. He’s taken numerous shots at both over the last few years and early this morning (May 20), decided to add another diss to the record.
Tyga dropped a song through his SoundCloud called “Cash Money,” took aim at Baby for his shady ways and confirmed Charlamagne Tha God’s notion that he doesn’t pay his artists.
“Cause I’m paid, cash money / Cash Money never paid me, but your boy did his thing / And still made, cash money / Yeah it’s mine, I could throw it in the air if I wanna,” Tyga raps on the song, the follows up later with, “I’m a hot boy, shout out Weezy Baby / If your man is loyal, n***a you should pay him,” and later, “I’m a hot boy, free BG / Free Tha Carter 5, let the streets eat.”
There is actual proof that YMCMB is in debt to at least some of their artists. Last October Drake and Tyga’s camps both claimed they were not properly paid through documents obtained by TMZ. A year prior to that, Tyga tweeted about his frustration with Cash Money by saying his label was holding him and his then forthcoming album, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, “hostage.”
