Hip Hop Awards 2024: Flau’jae Brings the Heat to ‘BET Hip Hop Awards’ 2024 with Special Campus Performance
Although Flau’jae couldn’t attend the ‘BET Hip Hop Awards’ 2024 in Las Vegas due to her commitments as a college athlete, BET and Nissan brought the show to her. The LSU basketball player delivered a standout performance right from her campus.
In a dimly lit room with a single spotlight, the Roc Nation rapper kicked off her set with her single "Legendary Flows" and closed out with "Came Out Beast," a song that features Lil Wayne.
“When you're serious about your craft, you find ways to make it work no matter what,” the Georgia native said in a statement regarding her performance. “My basketball schedule didn’t allow me to make it to Vegas for the BET Hip Hop Awards, but Nissan and BET came to me, for which I'm incredibly grateful. We didn’t miss a beat, and now that the show has aired, I’m excited that everyone got to see what happens when you keep pushing forward, no matter the obstacles.”
Flau’Jae’s latest EP, Best Of Both Worlds, dropped in June and included collaborations with Lil Wayne, NLE Choppa, and 2rare, continuing the legacy her father left behind. “My Daddy Right There With Me,” the 20-year-old said in a post at the time.” I wanna thank God for the ability to use my voice as a vessel to share his love, light, and positivity. Secondly, I want to thank my mom for sacrificing EVERYTHING to help me chase my dream, I love you for life. Last but not least I want to thank MY TEAM, this release was not easy, and the hard work isn’t over yet, but I want to let yall know that I appreciate y’all, and I see everything!”
Flau’jae continues to prove that her talents go far beyond the court.
