Hip Hop Awards 2022: A Look Back at Latto’s Most Memorable BET Hip Hop Awards Moments
Rising emcee Latto is up for one of the biggest honors at this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards, “Song of the Year,” for her smash hit “Big Energy.” The pop and funk-rock track, which samples Tom Tom Club's 1981 record "Genius of Love,” has seen much success this year and, indeed, much deserved.
The rapper is up against several extensive records from the past year, including songs Hittkidd and GloRill’s “F.N.F. (Let’s Go),” Jack Harlow’s “First Class,” Kodak Black’s “Super Gremlin,” “Wait For You” from Future featuring frequent collaborator Drake, and singer Tems. Drake is also up for a nomination for his single “Way 2 Sexy,” featuring Future and Young Thug, and Cardi B. with “Hot S—t” with rapper Kanye West and Lil Durk.
Ahead of the year’s event, hosted by rapper Fat Joe, we’re taking a look back at some of Latto’s most memorable Hip Hop Awards moments. Don’t forget to tune into the ceremony airing Tuesday, October 4, at 9 PM ET/PT on BET.
