Hip Hop Awards 2024: 7 of Trina’s Baddest Records

Revisit the Miami native’s signature tracks.

Miami’s baddest chick, Trina,  tore up the stage at the BET “Hip Hop Awards 2024“ with a performance that reminded the world why she's been holding the crown as the city’s Queen of Rap for over two decades. In honor of her explosive set, which featured a guest appearance by City Girls’ Yung Miami, we’re looking back at five of Trina’s most iconic records that defined her career and helped shape Southern hip-hop.

  • “Da Baddest B—ch”

Trina’s breakout anthem that set the tone for her career, “Da Baddest B—ch,” was a bold declaration of confidence, power, and independence. With unapologetic lyrics that celebrated her fierce femininity, the Black Mob Group-produced track cemented her as the Queen of Miami.

  • “Single Again”

Every girl who’s been through a tough breakup knows the power of “Single Again.” This empowering anthem from the emcee’s fourth studio album, Still da Baddest, gave Trina a chance to reclaim her independence.

  • “Here We Go” feat. Kelly Rowland

Trina showed her softer side with the 2005 hit single “Here We Go,” featuring Grammy Award-winning singer Kelly Rowland. The smooth collaboration served as an anthem for all the women going through heartbreak.

  • “Look Back at Me” feat. Killer Mike

The emcee took things to the next level with “Look Back at Me.” The raunchy, in-your-face track that left no room for misinterpretation. Partnering with Grammy winner Killer Mike, this record was all about owning her sexuality and being upfront about her desires.

  • “Pull Over”

Another hit from her debut album, Da Baddest B—ch, “Pull Over” became an instant classic thanks to its raunchy, bass-heavy sound. The catchy hook and Trina’s braggadocious flow made it a party staple, and the track still rings off in the clubs as it did when it was first released.
