Rick James - In 1991, 24-year-old Frances Alley claimed that an intoxicated James ordered her to strip naked, tied her to a chair and burned her with a hot pipe, after which she was hit in the face with a handgun and forced to perform sexual acts on James’s girlfriend. James was put on trial for charges that included false imprisonment, torture, forcible oral copulation and aggravated mayhem. He spent three years in jail over the incident, and another similar one in which he and the same girlfriend held a woman prisoner in their hotel room for 20 hours.
