Drake’s new bae has a surprising connection to LeBron James.
The Toronto rapper was spotted out on a date with model Johanna Leia in Los Angeles on Thursday (July 8), but it wasn’t just any dinner thing. According to Page Six, Drizzy rented out Dodger Stadium just so he could have some alone time in the enormous venue.
“@DRAKE ON A DATE? Randomly just flew over this cozy couple enjoying a private dinner along the third base line at an empty Dodger Stadium from #Air7HD@ABC7#Drizzy,” KABC-TV helicopter reporter Chris Christi tweeted early Friday (July 9).
The footage shows Leia rocking a Dodgers jersey while Drake wore his signature sweater look. The table consisted of champagne glasses and various vases filled with flowers on it.
Leia is the mother of Sierra Canyon High School basketball player and UCLA commit Amari Bailey, who played basketball with James’ son Bronny. LeBron even tweeted his congratulations for Bailey, who was named California Mr. Basketball.
“Congrats Nephew!!! Proud of you kid,” he wrote.
Since Drizzy has been spotted at many of Bronny’s high school games, it’s likely that he met Leia courtside.
Shortly after the helicopter footage of their date went viral, Leia posted a cryptic message on her Instagram Story, writing: “Take time to do what makes your soul happy.”
