Wendy Williams Reveals She Was Once Suspended Without Pay For Discussing Her Plastic Surgery
Wendy Williams has never shied away from talking about her love of plastic surgery. From her days on the radio to her talk show, the queen of hot topics is not ashamed of her past nip and tuck sessions. However, Williams revealed on Wednesday’s (December 2) episode of The Wendy Williams Show that after going under the knife in 1994, she was actually suspended from her radio show.
The conversation was spurred by New York City DJ Funkmaster Flex’s disclosure on Instagram that he underwent liposuction as well. Williams, talking about her own journey with surgical enhancements, said, “Once upon a time there was a girl named Wendy and in 1994 she got full body liposuction, breast implants, went back to get more liposuction long before all these other girls, trap queens or whatever they are today, talk about being proud ‘cause they got liposuction.”
She added, “There was a girl named Wendy, who was vilified, hung, suspended without pay, ‘Wendy, you can’t talk about that.’”
The 56-year-old didn’t reveal which radio station suspended her back in the day, but she did offer some words of advice on how to shop for surgeons, “You don't want your boobs done by a dentist!”
As for Funkmaster Flex’s procedure, Williams said, “He's a latecomer to the game, the liposuction, the whole bit… so sad. I bet your wife, your ex-wife, is probably laughing at you at this particular point.”
Williams continued, “Personally speaking, I'm turned off to any man who gets plastic surgery… When you start getting your flank done and a reduction and all that, I am like, I’d rather a fat man.”
Williams has been public about her breast implants, tummy tuck and liposuction, speaking about it often on her show. She has, however, steadfastly denied any work on her face, except for botox injections.
