Terry Crews Confirms That 'White Chicks 2' Is Coming

He got the thumbs up from one of the original's stars.

The question has constantly been brought up for years: Is a White Chicks sequel ever going to happen? According to Terry Crews, the answer is a resounding "yes!"

During a recent interview with Andy Cohen on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, the actor confirmed that he spoke with Shawn Wayans, who wrote, produced and starred alongside his brother Marlon in the classic comedy film.

"You know what, I actually got with Shawn, and he was like, 'Man, we doing it. We getting it going,'" he said.

Take a look, below:

  • The original film premiered 15 years ago and quickly became a favorite for many. It went on to earn a whopping $113 million at the box office and stands as one of Crews' most memorable and quotable roles to date.

In that same vein, the actor also mentioned that the sequel could include another pop song performance as somewhat of a nod to his iconic version of Vanessa Carlton's "A Thousand Miles" in the film.

"I think the modern day equivalent to that might be Carly Rae Jepsen, 'Call Me Maybe,'" he said.

Crews' confirmation comes a few months after Marlon Wayans shared his thoughts on the possibility of a sequel.

"I don't know, but there's been some rumblings happening, and a lot of people want us to do it, so me and my brothers have been talking," he said on an episode of TRL, back in March. "So if things go right, we hope to do a White Chicks 2."

Well, it appears as everything worked out after all.
