Girl, Get Out: Michelle Williams' Fiancé Reveals The Reason He Is Reluctant To Marry Her, And Twitter Is Disgusted
Michelle Williams and her fiancé, Chad Johnson, have been actively detailing the trials they've faced throughout their relationship and engagement through their OWN reality series, Chad Love Michelle.
In a recent clip, Johnson, who was recently roasted for attacking Williams' mental health struggles in response to her pointing out their racial differences, said that he had reservations of them tying the knot for one specific reason.
In the clip for the episode, the couple can be seen having a candid conversation about their unconfirmed wedding date. When the Destiny's Child alumna asked Johnson if he settled on one, he responded with a resounding, "No."
"I think [their therapist] needs to have some input," he said. "I just think she needs to have some insight... The hope is to be able to be in a position in feeling extremely confident that we're ready."
When Williams confidently declared that she believes the two were ready to officially walk down the aisle, he interjected, "You seriously think we're ready for marriage? I'm not talking about 'want to.' I'm talking about 'ready to.'"
In his confessional scene, however, he clearly outlined where his reluctance stemmed from.
"At this point, I'm not confident to set a date," he said. "I mean, she just got out of the hospital. I need to be able to be in a position where I know that I can fully, fully, and confidently love her the way that she deserves to be loved at this point."

Twitter didn't seem pleased with his response and many also seemed to have some residual anger from his race-related comments from the incident prior.
