Stacey Dash Is Going To Extreme Measures To Bury Her 'Black' Past
Stacey Dash was traded in the draft a long time ago, and now she's doing the absolute most to make sure nobody remembers she once played for Team Melanin.
The Clueless actress-turned-conservative pundit is literally suing to stop a project involving herself, her cousin Damon Dash and Kanye West from ever coming to light. And no, it's not "All Falls Down (Part Two)."
Recap Stacey Dash's problematic ways — this year, alone — with BET Breaks, above.
The project in question is an independent film that the trio collaborated on, presumably, before Stacey went to The Sunken Place. The action film, formally titled Honor Up, is now set to be released in theaters during — wait for it — Black History Month 2018. Apparently, it's already been out online.
West served as executive producer of the film, while Damon, Stacey and Cam'ron starred. Several other hip-hop figures made appearances, including Styes P, Sheek, Jadakiss, Oschino, Smoke DZA and Murda Mook. You know, the sort of "riff raff" Dash doesn't like to associate herself with anymore.

According to theJasmineBRAND.com, Dash is pretending the film doesn't even exist. "No. I am not [involved]," she said when asked. "I'll let the lawyers handle it."
This is pretty on-brand for the former Single Ladies actress who, back in 2016, said during an interview on Fox News' Fox & Friends that there should be no BET Awards or Black History Month.
"We have to make up our minds," she said. "Either we want to have segregation or integration. And if we don't want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards, where you're only awarded if you're Black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It's a double standard."
So, it looks like only time will tell how this all turns out.
Honor Up, based on Damon Dash's post, is slated to hit theaters in February 2018.
